THE son of the man accused in the latest assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump has been arrested on federal child pornography charges.
On Saturday, feds raided the home of Oran Routh, 35, during an investigation into his father, Ryan Wesley Routh, and found “hundreds of files” of child pornography.
Two Samsung Galaxy Note devices were found – one in Oran’s bedroom and another in his possession, according to ABC News.
“A review of the SD card located in Device-1 revealed that it contained hundreds of child pornography files,” prosecutors wrote in the criminal complaint, viewed by ABC News.
“These files include videos from a known child pornography series created outside the state of North Carolina.”
The search was done “in connection with an investigation unrelated to child exploitation,” investigators said.
ABC News confirmed that the search was related to Oran’s father, who remains jailed pending trial following his attempted assassination of Trump at his West Palm Beach, Florida golf course on September 15.
Oran – who is due in court later on Tuesday – spoke out in the days following his father’s arrest, saying he “hated” Trump as “every reasonable person does.”
“He’s not a violent person,” Oran told the Daily Mail.
“He’s a hard worker and a great dad. He’s a great dude, a nice guy and has worked his whole f****** life.”
