THIS is the terrifying moment a driver frantically swerves between lanes before a trailer carrying fridges smashes all over a motorway.
Shocking dashcam footage shows the motorist, whose pick-up truck is towing at least a dozen fridges, lose control on the M5 near junction 11 in Gloucestershire.
The vehicle moves manically back and forth across all three lanes before the trailer eventually flips over.
Debris can be seen smashing all over the road as the trailer appears to disintegrate.
Stunned drivers slam on their brakes and hazard lights to avoid even more carnage.
Traffic grinds to a halt as a man holding his head emerges from the black pick-up truck.
A second person also appears to crawl out of the driver side door before they leave the vehicle stranded by the central reservation.
The chaos on Sunday saw motorists sat in bumper-to-bumper queues of up to six miles.
Gloucestershire Constabulary were called out at around 3.15pm with emergency services.
Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured.
No arrests were made and the motorway reopened around two hours later.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said yesterday: “Emergency services are at the scene of a single-vehicle collision on the M5 after a caravan was reported to have hit the central reservation shortly after 3.15pm today.
“Nobody is believed to have been injured.
“The motorway is currently closed between junctions 11a and 11 northbound and drivers are advised to find alternative routes.”
This comes as the shocking moment a car suddenly bursts into flames was caught on camera.
The driver and passenger were forced to flee for their lives amid the terrifying explosion.
Elsewhere, a horror smash that saw a speeding BMW skid across the road and flip into someone’s front garden was captured on CCTV.
Cops are hunting the two occupants after they climbed and of the car and fled.
Plus, this is the footage that shows a lorry driver ploughing into a car and narrowly missing a family as he searched for a podcast on his phone.
