Fayed’s fixers
HARRODS predator Mohamed Fayed could never have raped or sexually assaulted so many staff and kept it quiet without help.
What medical justification did doctors think they had in carrying out intimate examinations on shop girls at his behest?
Company doctor Wendy Snell is dead.
Harley Street’s Dr Ann Coxon — accused of testing staff’s sexual health — refuses to comment.
What does the GMC make of that?
How about the Fayed assistants who allegedly directed girls he hand-picked on the shop floor up to his office or flat?
Security guards saw them arriving and leaving.
Some victims were bugged and threatened into silence.
Security chief John Macnamara is dead — but others are not.
Did his PR people never suspect anything?
What of the armies of lawyers he employed?
And why did the CPS not proceed with the abuse claims a girl of 15 made to police?
There are now 100-plus alleged victims.
Fayed is dead. But those who enabled his appalling activities can be held to account.
Rogue nation
WHY is Russia, this rogue terrorist state, still on the UN security council?
Keir Starmer commendably tore a strip off the Kremlin’s stooge in New York, asking how he dared show his face as the violation of Ukraine continues and Russians are sacrificed “like bits of meat to fling into the grinder”.
But the answer simply is that the UN allows it.
Russia is a permanent member.
Depressingly, several UN members support Putin’s murderous imperialism.
While Moscow has a prominent seat — even as it inflicts horror on an innocent fellow member — the UN will remain a pointless talking shop with zero credibility.
Off his Ed
WHEN will the PM wake up to the terrifying folly of Ed Miliband running our energy supply?
He is meant to be steering us towards greater security and cheaper bills.
He’s more like a cackling madman driving us off a cliff — all while bigging himself up as a “global climate leader”.
But Miliband’s absurd 2030 “clean power” deadline is not even scientific.
Boris Johnson invented it in 2020, thinking it seemed a safe distance off.
Now even Labour’s union allies warn we would need to build a new wind turbine the height of the Eiffel Tower every day until 2030 to reach it.
It will not happen. Nor will bills fall, as Miliband pretends.
Nor will our security be enhanced by relying on imports and banning new North Sea oil and gas.
Nor will his “GB Energy” succeed.
Does anyone outside No10 believe Miliband is up to this critical job?
