COPS have found a body during a search for a woman who was missing for nearly a week.
Cleveland Police released a CCTV image of Angela Simpson earlier this week in a bid to find the 50-year-old.
Angela was last seen walking in the Ormesby area of Middlesbrough at around 6.30pm on Sunday with police growing “increasingly concerned”.
The force have now confirmed they have sadly found a body during the urgent search.
While formal identification is yet to take place, Angela’s family have been informed.
They are now being supported by specialist officers from Cleveland Police.
The death is not being treated a suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner, said cops.
In the footage released previously, Angela is seen walking along Kildwick Grove in Middlesbrough at approximately 6.20pm.
She then continues left onto Penrith Road, right onto Sandringham Road and is last seen approaching the junction with Overdale Road.
This is the last confirmed sighting of the mum as officers continue their search for her.
Angela is described as 5ft8 and of slim build with dark brown hair, cops said.
She was wearing a pink or black jacket, black leggings or black shorts and white and pink trainers when she vanished.
Cops asked locals to check their CCTV and dash cam footage for any sightings.
