At least six people shot dead in ‘terror attack’ in Israeli city Tel Aviv as ‘two gunmen open fire at train station’

AT least six people have been shot dead and several others have been injured in a suspected terror attack in Tel Aviv.

Suspected Islamist killers opened fire on passengers on a tram and cut down several more before being “neutralised” in the southern Jaffa suburb.

The attack came as the population was scrambling for shelter as warnings were issued of Iran’s imminent ballistic missile attack.

Medics said they had responded to reports of “many casualties” after the shooting spree on Jerusalem Boulevard.

Israel police say six people have been killed in the shooting, with a further 12 wounded.

Cops confirmed it is being treated as a suspected terror attack and that several victims were unconscious.

Disturbing images from the scene show multiple dead bodies lying on the road as emergency responders work to rescue injured people.

A volunteer medic from United Hatzalah said: “We were informed that there were injured people near the train station on Sderot Yerushalayim.

“Passersby told us that there were also injured people on nearby streets, and additional medics were there and continued to other scenes.

“Some of the injured people we treated were unconscious. So far, we have operated on four streets and the incident is still ongoing.”

IRANIAN AGGRESSION

It comes as Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel in a revenge rocket blitz for the invasion of Lebanon.

Scores of missiles were seen flying over Tel Aviv and Jordan’s capital Amman as air sirens rang out amid fears of an all-out war in the Middle East.

Live footage from Israel shows the ballistic missiles being shot down by Israeli air defences over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Air raid sirens blared across the country as innocent Israelis scrambled to take cover in their homes, under bridges, and in bomb shelters.

Deafening explosions have also been heard in the Jordan Valley, which sits on the border between Jordan and the West Bank.

The IDF said it is not clear if there are any injuries yet, with local media saying two were lightly injured.

The unprecedented blitz saw more than 200 ballistic missiles raining down on Israel.

Military experts say the attack seems to be “far larger” than the April attack when Iran launched more than 320 missiles and drones at Israel.

At least 10 million civilians are the targets of tonight’s attack on Israel, the IDF said.
